Overview

The 74HC/HCT4051 is an 8-to-1 analog switch designed for analog or digital 8:1 multiplexing applications. The device features three digital selection inputs, eight independent input/output terminals, one common input/output terminal, and a digital enable input. When the enable input is HIGH, the switch is turned off. Input clamping diodes are provided, allowing the inputs to be interfaced to voltages exceeding VCC through current-limiting resistors.
