Overview

The 74HC/HCT4053 is a triple single-pole double-throw analog switch designed for analog or digital 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer applications. Each switch contains a digital select input, two independent inputs/outputs, and a common input/output. All switches share a single digital enable input. When the enable input is HIGH, the switches are turned off. The inputs incorporate clamping diodes, which allow the input interface to be connected to voltages higher than VCC using current-limiting resistors.
