Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between Vref (approximately 2.5V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature a typical output impedance of 0.15 Ω. The active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. These applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power switching.
