Overview
AP2008A is a constant-frequency peak current mode asynchronous PWM boost converter. An external Schottky diode is required. At light load, AP2008A operates in light load mode. With a quiescent current of 200 μA and an internal NMOS on-resistance of 200 mΩ, high efficiency is ensured across the full output load range. Leaving the OC pin floating allows AP2008A to deliver a maximum output load current of 0.8 A; adjusting the resistor from the OC pin to GND sets the peak current limit. AP2008A is well-suited for MID and mobile power applications. Input voltage range: 3 V ~ 12 V. The internal switching frequency is fixed at 1.0 MHz. AP2008A is available in a 6-pin SOT-23 package.
