AP2104BTCER

AP2104B is a low-noise, fixed switching frequency (400kHz) capacitive voltage doubler. It accepts an input voltage of 2.7V to 5.5V and generates a regulated 5V output voltage with a maximum output current of 250mA. The minimal external component count — only one bootstrap capacitor and two bypass capacitors on VIN and VOUT — makes the AP2104B ideal for compact, battery-powered applications. This device employs a new charge pump architecture that ensures constant switching frequency operation under no-load conditions while simultaneously reducing input and output ripple. The circuit features thermal protection and can withstand a continuous short circuit from VOUT to GND. An integrated soft-start circuit prevents excessive inrush current during startup. The high switching frequency allows the use of small ceramic capacitors. Standby current is low, less than 1µA. The AP2104B is available in a 6-pin SOT-23 flat package.
