Overview

The AP3127B series is a fixed-frequency, constant-current boost DC/DC converter designed for backlight driving in mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras, and other electronic devices. The output voltage can reach 23V; a 3.2V input can drive six series-connected LEDs, while a 2.5V input can drive two parallel strings of LEDs (three LEDs in series per string). LED brightness can be controlled by adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM signal on the CE pin. In addition, an integrated MOSFET with an on-resistance of 0.8Ω allows the use of miniature inductors and capacitors externally, reducing PCB area.
