Overview

APS2415 is a high-efficiency, 1.5MHz fixed-frequency, current-mode monolithic synchronous buck regulator. Available in adjustable and fixed output versions, the regulator operates at 300μA quiescent current under no-load conditions, dropping below 1μA in shutdown. The input voltage range of 2.5V to 6.5V makes the APS2415 ideal for single-cell Li-ion battery or 2- to 4-cell alkaline battery-powered applications. The APS2415 achieves low dropout operation via 100% duty cycle, extending battery life in portable devices. At light loads, the APS2415 enters pulse-skip mode to maintain low output ripple voltage, making it suitable for noise-sensitive applications. The 1.5MHz switching frequency allows the use of smaller SMT inductors and capacitors. An integrated synchronous rectifier switch improves efficiency, eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode. The feedback voltage is set at 0.6V, enabling output voltages as low as 0.6V. The APS2415 is available in a compact SOT package.
