AX8115A

AX8115A is a continuous inductor current mode step-down constant current source designed to drive one or more series-connected LEDs. It operates over an input voltage range of 5V to 45V, with output current adjustable via an external sense resistor up to a maximum of 1.2A. Depending on input/output conditions, the device can drive LEDs with power up to tens of watts. An integrated temperature compensation function automatically reduces output current when the die temperature exceeds 120°C, avoiding the low-frequency LED flicker associated with conventional over-temperature protection. The device integrates an internal power switch and employs high-side current sensing to set the average LED current via an external resistor. Analog dimming and wide-range PWM dimming signals are accepted through the DIM pin. When the DIM pin voltage falls below 0.3V, the power switch turns off and the device enters a standby state with ultra-low operating current.
