AX8501

This device is a buck-type constant-current LED driver IC featuring a fixed off-time control mode, capable of efficiently driving multiple LEDs. It achieves constant-current control based on peak current sensing, allowing the LED output current to be conveniently set by adjusting the external peak current sensing resistor. The maximum output current reaches 5A, offering a wide range of applications. The device integrates an LED high-brightness/low-brightness mode function, configurable via the high or low logic level of the HC pin, as well as an LED strobe flash function, which can be enabled by applying a high logic level to the FLK pin. The DIM pin integrates both PWM dimming and analog dimming functions, allowing the LED current to be adjusted via an external PWM signal duty cycle or an external analog voltage level. The dimming interface is simple and convenient, and this pin also serves as a chip enable. In addition, the device integrates multiple protection features to ensure system stability and reliability, including VDD undervoltage lockout, VDD clamp regulation, and output current over-temperature derating.
