CBM128S085/CBM108S085 is a high-precision, highly integrated DAC chip featuring a single-chip integration of 8-channel 12/10-bit voltage-output DACs with output buffer drivers. The chip adopts a compact 16-pin TSSOP package; the operating supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V; the output buffer driver ensures rail-to-rail output voltage, maximizing the voltage output range; power consumption is very low — with no load, the total current consumption is only 540uA@3V and 600uA@5V; a 3-wire serial interface with a maximum clock frequency of 40MHz enables highly flexible configuration, compatible with common interface standards including SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP; daisy-chain operation is supported, allowing a single interface to control multiple chips simultaneously and ensuring synchronous state updates across all chips at the same moment. CBM128S085/CBM108S085 provides two external reference voltage inputs — one for channels A through D and the other for channels E through H. Each reference voltage can be independently configured, with an allowable input range of 0.5V to VA, ensuring the widest possible dynamic output range. The 16-bit shift register on the serial interface digitally controls the operating modes of the chip, including power-down output states and output update states; all channels can be updated individually or simultaneously. A key feature of CBM128S085/CBM108S085 is simultaneous support for both power-on reset (POR) and power-off reset. The POR circuit ensures that the DAC output is 0V when the supply voltage rises to a valid level, and maintains this state until a new update command is received. When the supply voltage drops below 2.7V, the power-off reset circuit resets the chip, forcing the DAC output to 0V and preventing any non-zero DAC output from affecting the system circuitry. The chip's multi-channel architecture offers flexible configuration, allowing each channel to operate independently, with support for three different output-impedance power-down modes. When all DACs enter power-down mode, the chip operates at µW-level power consumption. These low-power characteristics make it highly suitable for portable applications.
