Overview
The SimpleLink™ CC1312R7 device is a multi-protocol Sub-1GHz wireless MCU supporting the following protocols: IEEE 802.15.4g, IPv6-enabled Smart Objects (6LoWPAN), mioty®, Wi-SUN®, proprietary systems (including TI 15.4-Stack (Sub-1GHz)), and concurrent multi-protocol via the Dynamic Multi-protocol Manager (DMM) driver. The CC1312R7 is based on an Arm® Cortex® M4F main processor, optimized for low-power wireless communication and advanced sensing in smart grid infrastructure, building automation, retail automation, personal electronics, and medical applications. The CC1312R7 features a software-defined radio driven by an Arm® Cortex® M0, supporting multiple physical layers and RF standards. The device supports operation in the 287MHz to 351MHz, 359MHz to 527MHz, 861MHz to 1054MHz, and 1076MHz to 1315MHz frequency bands. PHY and band switching at runtime is enabled through the DMM driver. The CC1312R7 features a high-efficiency integrated PA supporting +14dBm TX output power at a current consumption of 24.9mA. In RX and SimpleLink™ Long Range mode at a data rate of 2.5kbps, the device achieves -121dBm sensitivity and 88dB blocking performance (±10MHz). While retaining 144KB RAM, the CC1312R7 offers a standby current as low as 0.9μA. In addition to the Cortex® M4F main processor, the device features an autonomous ultra-low-power Sensor Controller CPU enabling fast wake-up. For example, the Sensor Controller is capable of 1Hz ADC sampling at a system current of 1µA. The CC1312R7 features low SER (Soft Error Rate) FIT (Failures In Time), enabling extended operational lifetime. S
