CD5026ITS

The CD5026 PWM controller incorporates all the necessary functions for implementing a power converter using active clamp and reset techniques with current-mode control. Compared to conventional clamp winding or RDC clamp and reset techniques, active clamp technology enables higher efficiency and greater power density. The CD5026 provides two control outputs: main power switch control (OUT_A) and active clamp switch control (OUT_B). The device can be configured to control either P-channel or N-channel clamp switches. The main gate driver features a composite configuration consisting of MOS and bipolar devices, delivering excellent gate drive characteristics. The CD5026 can be configured to operate from bias voltages across a wide input range of 8V to 100V. Additional features include programmable maximum duty cycle, line undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup-mode fault protection, adjustable timeout delay, PWM slope compensation, synchronization input/output functionality, soft-start, precision reference voltage, and a 1MHz oscillator with thermal shutdown.
