CN5612

CN5612 is a current modulation circuit operating from 2.7V to 6V, with a constant output current of up to 1.2A, capable of driving various LEDs including white LEDs. The LED pin current of the CN5612 is set by an external resistor, with a configurable current range of 30mA to 1.2A. An integrated power transistor significantly reduces the external component count. Additional features include over-temperature protection, LED short/open circuit protection, and more. The CN5612 is housed in a 5-pin TO252 package with excellent thermal dissipation capability. The CN5612 is a current modulation circuit capable of delivering up to 1.2A to high-power LEDs. It also features over-temperature protection and LED open/short circuit protection. When the junction temperature of the CN5612 exceeds 125°C due to overload or LED short circuit, the CN5612 enters over-temperature protection mode. In this state, the current flowing into the LED pin drops to 1% of the configured constant current, preventing device damage. When the junction temperature falls back to 114°C, the CN5612 exits thermal protection mode and resumes normal operation. Under overload or LED short circuit conditions, the CN5612 will continuously alternate between thermal protection mode and normal operating mode to protect the device.
