CN5815

CN5815 is a fixed-frequency current-mode PWM controller for boost-type high-brightness LED driving. The CN5815 operates with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 32V, drives an external N-channel MOSFET, and the LED current is set via an external current-sense resistor. The CN5815 integrates a voltage reference unit, error amplifier, 330KHz oscillator, slope compensation generator, current-mode PWM control unit, inductor overcurrent protection circuit, LED dimming unit, chip shutdown unit, soft-start circuit, and gate driver circuit. The CN5815 employs current-mode PWM control to improve transient response and simplify the frequency compensation network. The built-in soft-start circuit effectively reduces inrush current at power-up. Additional features include chip shutdown, overvoltage protection, LED dimming, built-in 5V voltage regulator, and slope compensation. The CN5815 is available in a 10-pin SSOP package.
