ETA3458FSG

ETA3458 is a high-efficiency DC-to-DC step-down switching regulator capable of delivering up to 3A of output current. The device operates over an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and an output voltage range of 0.6V to VIN, making it an ideal solution for low-voltage power conversion. The ETA3458 employs an adaptive constant on-time control scheme to achieve ultra-fast transient response and provides very smooth transitions as the output load changes from light to heavy. The adaptive constant on-time control also maintains a constant switching frequency across variations in input voltage and load. Operating at a fixed frequency of 2MHz allows the use of inductors with small inductance values and low DCR, resulting in higher efficiency. The higher switching frequency also enables smaller external components — such as ceramic input and output capacitors — while maintaining excellent low-noise output voltage. An internal soft-start control circuit reduces inrush current. Short-circuit and thermal overload protection enhance design reliability. The ETA3458 is available in a compact SOT563 package.
