Overview

ETA8123 is a wide input range, high efficiency, high frequency DC-DC step-down switching regulator capable of delivering up to 3A output current. It employs an adaptive constant on-time control scheme to achieve ultra-fast transient response and provides very smooth transitions as the output load changes from light to heavy. The adaptive constant on-time control also maintains a constant switching frequency over variations in input voltage and load. Its overvoltage protection feature protects both the IC itself and its downstream systems from input voltage surges. With this overvoltage protection capability, the IC can withstand input voltages up to 19V, making it an ideal solution for industrial applications such as LCD TVs, set-top boxes, and portable televisions. ETA8123 is available in a SOT23-6 package.
