FM8502D

FM8502 is a high-precision non-isolated buck LED constant-current control IC. The IC operates in inductor current critical conduction mode with built-in OVP functionality. The Vovp voltage can be set by adjusting the external OVP resistor value. Additionally, the ROVP pin supports an Enable function. This IC is suitable for non-isolated buck LED lighting and switching color-tuning applications across the full voltage range of 85VAC to 264VAC. The IC integrates a 500V power switch internally, employing high-precision sampling and compensation circuits, high-voltage JFET power supply technology, a patented demagnetization detection circuit, and a patented power supply closed-loop feedback technique. No VCC capacitor, startup resistor, external compensation circuit, or feedback circuit is required. The IC utilizes precise and stable adaptive technology internally, resulting in an extremely simple peripheral circuit design. It achieves high-precision LED constant-current output and excellent line voltage regulation with minimal external components, greatly reducing system cost and board area. Operating in inductor current critical conduction mode, the output current remains unaffected by variations in inductance or LED forward voltage, thereby delivering excellent load regulation. FM8502 features multiple protection functions, including LED open/short-circuit protection, supply undervoltage protection, and over-temperature regulation, significantly enhancing system reliability.
