FR9835ASP

FR9835A is an asynchronous step-down DC/DC converter offering a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 28V and 5A continuous load current capability. The wide adjustable switching frequency range allows optimization of either efficiency or external component size. Under light-load conditions, the FR9835A can operate in power-saving mode to support high efficiency and reduce power consumption. FR9835A fault protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown. In addition, the soft-start function prevents inrush current at power-up. The device employs a current-mode control scheme for fast transient response. Internal compensation reduces external compensation components, simplifying the design process. In shutdown mode, the supply current is less than 1.3μA. The FR9835A is available in an SOP-8 (exposed pad) package for excellent thermal conductivity.
