Overview
GL852G-60 is an advanced MTT hub solution fully compliant with Universal Serial Bus Specification Revision 2.0. The device integrates 5V-to-3.3V and 3.3V-to-1.8V LDOs, eliminating the need for external LDOs. It incorporates an 8-bit RISC processor to manage control/status registers and respond to requests from the USB host. The firmware controls its GPIO pins to access an external EEPROM, enabling customized PID and VID configured by the host in the external EEPROM. If no external EEPROM is present, the device defaults to the settings stored in the internal mask ROM. The device offers design flexibility, allowing complex configurations — such as PID, VID, and downstream port count settings — to be easily implemented by programming an external EEPROM or via SMBUS mode. GL852G-60 is a fully featured solution supporting both individual and ganged modes for power management.
