Overview

GP8500 is a PWM-to-analog signal converter, functionally equivalent to a DAC with PWM input and analog voltage output. The device linearly converts PWM signals with duty cycles from 0% to 100% into analog voltages of 0–2.5V or 0–VCC, with output voltage accuracy better than 0.2%. It supports input PWM signal frequencies ranging from 50Hz to 50KHz, with an input high-level range of 2.7V–5.5V. The internal reference voltage can be selected via the REFEN signal to determine the output voltage range. Typical output voltage error is 0.2% and linearity error is 0.1%. The device features output short-circuit protection — when the output pin is shorted to ground, it enters protection mode and disables the output. Supply voltage range is 2.7V–5.5V, power consumption is below 2mA, startup time is less than 2ms, and operating temperature range is -40℃ to 85℃.
