Overview

HSY8120B1ABC is a wide input range, high efficiency, high frequency DC-DC step-down switching regulator capable of delivering up to 2A of output current. Its fixed switching frequency is 500kHz, employing current-mode PWM control, which allows the use of small external components such as ceramic input and output capacitors and a compact inductor. The device also features a proprietary control scheme that switches to power-save mode at light loads, extending the high-efficiency operating range. The overvoltage protection function safeguards both the IC itself and its downstream systems against input voltage surges. With this feature, the IC can withstand input voltages up to 19V, making it an ideal solution for industrial applications such as LCD TVs, set-top boxes, and portable televisions. The device is available in a SOT-23-6L package.
