HT6050ARZ

The HT6050 is a step-down DC/DC regulator with an internal switch, featuring SKIP control mode that combines low quiescent current with high switching frequency to achieve high efficiency regulation across a wide load current range. SKIP mode uses short "burst" cycles to switch inductor current through the internal power MOSFET, followed by a sleep period during which the power switch is off and load current is supplied by the output capacitor. At light loads, the burst period occupies only a small fraction of the total cycle time, minimizing average supply current and significantly improving light-load efficiency. The HT6050 features a wide input voltage range of 4V to 60V, minimizing the need for external surge suppression components. This makes it an ideal choice for industrial applications with wide input supply ranges and high cell-count battery pack applications. The HT6050 incorporates low on-resistance 130mΩ high-side and 95mΩ low-side power switches, delivering a minimum output current capability of 2.5A with excellent load and line transient response. The HT6050 can be used in a variety of applications to efficiently regulate higher voltages. This regulator is well-suited for the 48V automotive power bus range. Additional features include: soft-start, thermal shutdown, UVLO undervoltage lockout, gate driver undervoltage lockout, maximum duty cycle limit timer, and intelligent current limit shutdown timer. Integrated output short-circuit protection provides HICCUP mode when the FB voltage is low to prevent overheating during short-circuit conditions.
