HV9910BS

The HV9910 is a pulse width modulation high-efficiency LED driver control IC. It supports high-efficiency driving of high-brightness LEDs with an input voltage range of 8V DC to 450V DC. The HV9910 controls an external MOSFET at a fixed switching frequency of up to 300 kHz. This frequency is programmable via a single resistor. The LED string is driven with constant current rather than constant voltage, providing constant light output and enhanced reliability. The output current is programmable from a few milliamps to over 1.0 A. The HV9910 employs a robust high-voltage junction isolation process capable of withstanding input voltage surges up to 450V. By applying an external control voltage to the HV9910's linear dimming control input, the output current of the LED string can be programmed to any value between zero and its maximum. The HV9910 provides a low-frequency PWM dimming input that accepts an external control signal with a duty cycle of 0–100% at frequencies up to several kilohertz.
