HXL1509-3.3

HXL1509 is a monolithic integrated circuit designed for step-down DC/DC converters, capable of driving 3A loads without external transistors, helping to save board space. The external shutdown function can be controlled via logic levels to put the device into standby mode. The internal compensation network provides good line and load regulation for feedback control without external design. For protection features, thermal shutdown prevents damage from over-temperature operation, while current limiting prevents the output switch from operating in an overcurrent condition. If the current limiting function is triggered and the voltage drops below 40.5V, the switching frequency will be reduced. HXL1509 operates at a switching frequency of 150KHz, so the required filter component sizes are smaller than those of lower-frequency switching regulators. Additional features include: output voltage tolerance guaranteed at ±4% and oscillator frequency tolerance at ±15% under specified input voltage and output load conditions. The chip comes in a standard 8-pin SOP-8 package.
