HXL1509-ADJ

HXL1509 is a monolithic step-down DC/DC converter IC capable of driving a 3A load without external transistors, helping to save board space. The device features an external shutdown function that allows entry into standby mode via logic-level control. Its internal compensation design provides good line and load regulation for the feedback control loop, eliminating the need for external design. For protection features, thermal shutdown prevents damage from overtemperature operation, while the current limiting function prevents the output switch from operating in an overcurrent condition. If current limiting is triggered and the voltage drops below 40.5V, the switching frequency will be reduced. The HXL1509 operates at a switching frequency of 150KHz, allowing the use of smaller filter components compared to lower-frequency switching regulators. Additional features include: output voltage accuracy guaranteed at ±4% under specified input voltage and output load conditions; oscillator frequency accuracy of ±15%. The IC is available in a standard 8-pin SOP-8 package.
