Overview
The ICL7660AIBAZ is a monolithic DC/DC voltage converter IC fabricated in CMOS technology. It supports voltage inversion, voltage doubling, voltage splitting, and multi-voltage output. The device operates stably over a 1.5V ~ 5V range with no external diodes required across the full temperature range. It delivers 10mA of current per 0.5V voltage drop. The BOOST pin can raise the oscillator frequency above the audio band, reducing output ripple and lowering external capacitance requirements. The IC combines low quiescent current with high conversion efficiency, and integrates an oscillator control circuit along with four power MOSFET switches. Typical applications include negative voltage generation, voltage doubling, and 1/2 input voltage splitting.
