ICL7660BS

The 7660 is a monolithic DC/DC voltage conversion IC fabricated using a specialized process, offering voltage inversion, doubling, splitting, and multiplied voltage outputs. Pin-compatible with the ICL7660, it operates stably over a 1.5V to 10V input range without requiring any external diodes across the entire temperature range. It delivers 10mA of current per 0.5V voltage drop. The BOOST pin can raise the oscillator frequency above the audio band, reducing output ripple and thereby relaxing the requirements on external capacitor values. The 7660 combines low quiescent current with high conversion efficiency, and integrates an oscillator control circuit along with four power MOSFET switching transistors on-chip. Typical applications include negative voltage generation, voltage doubling, and input voltage halving.
