ICW6216

ICW6216 is a high-performance, low-cost PWM controller power device designed for off-line low-power buck applications, featuring a simple peripheral circuit with minimal component count. The integrated high-voltage MOSFET in the startup module enhances the system's surge withstand capability. Unlike conventional PWM power switches, the ICW6216 does not use a fixed internal clock to drive the MOSFET; instead, the switching frequency automatically adjusts with load variations. The device employs multi-mode PWM control technology, which effectively simplifies peripheral circuit design, improves line regulation and load regulation, and eliminates audible noise during system operation. In addition, the internal peak current detection threshold automatically adjusts according to actual load conditions, significantly reducing standby power consumption under no-load conditions. The ICW6216 incorporates comprehensive protection features with auto-recovery: VDD undervoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, output overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, overload protection, and VDD overvoltage protection. The ICW6216 series is a multi-mode PWM controller power switch with integrated high-voltage startup and power supply functions. This series supports off-line non-isolated buck and buck-boost topologies, making it suitable for small home appliance power supplies and linear power supply replacement applications. The ICW6216 also features high output accuracy and low peripheral component cost.
