The ISO676x devices are high-performance, six-channel digital isolators that offer a 5000 VRMS isolation rating per UL 1577, making them ideal for cost-sensitive applications with such requirements. These devices are also certified by VDE, TUV, CSA, and CQC. While isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os, the ISO676x devices provide high electromagnetic immunity, low emissions, and low power consumption. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are isolated by TI's dual-capacitor silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barriers. The ISO676x family of devices is available in all possible pin configurations, so all six channels can be in the same direction, or one, two, or three channels can be in the reverse direction while the remaining channels are in the forward direction. In the event of a loss of input power or signal, devices without the suffix F default to a high output, while devices with the suffix F default to a low output. When used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices help prevent noise currents on data buses such as UART, SPI, RS - 485, RS - 232, and CAN from damaging sensitive circuits. Thanks to innovative chip design and routing techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO676x devices is significantly enhanced, which helps mitigate system-level ESD, EFT, and surge issues and meet radiated standards. The ISO676x family of devices is available in a 16-pin SOIC wide-body (DW) package and is a pin-to-pin upgrade from previous generations of devices.
