JW5222 is a current-mode monolithic step-down switching regulator. It operates over an input voltage range of 2.5V to 6V, delivers 2.5A continuous output current, and integrates both P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs. The internal synchronous power switches provide high efficiency. At light loads, the regulator operates at reduced frequency to maintain high efficiency and minimize output ripple. Current-mode control provides tight load transient response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The JW5222 ensures robustness through hiccup output short-circuit protection, FB short-circuit protection, startup current runaway protection, input undervoltage lockout and hot-plug protection, and thermal protection. The JW5222 provides a power-good output indication, a feature available only in the SOT23-6 package. The JW5222 is offered in a 5-pin SOT23-5 or 6-pin SOT23-6 package, providing a compact solution with minimal external components.
