Overview
KP106XN is a highly integrated constant-current LED power switch. The chip employs a quasi-resonant operating mode combined with active power factor correction control technology to achieve high power factor, low harmonic distortion, and high efficiency. KP106XN integrates a high-voltage 650V power MOSFET along with high-voltage startup and power supply circuitry, simplifying system design and reducing production costs. The chip also features optimized surge immunity, capable of withstanding a 2.5KV surge rating at optimal cost. By sampling the inductor current over a full cycle, the chip delivers ultra-high-precision constant-current output with excellent line voltage and load regulation performance. KP106XN incorporates comprehensive protection features to ensure safe and reliable system operation, including: VDD under-voltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), over-temperature protection (OTP), output over-voltage protection (OVP), and LED open-circuit and short-circuit protection.
