KP116 is a highly integrated constant-current LED controller that operates in quasi-resonant mode and employs active power factor correction control technology to meet the requirements of high power factor, low harmonic distortion, and high efficiency. KP116 integrates a high-voltage startup circuit and high-voltage supply circuit internally, simplifying system design and reducing production costs. By sampling the inductor current over a full cycle during the freewheeling period, the chip achieves ultra-high precision constant-current output with excellent line voltage and load regulation performance. KP116 incorporates comprehensive protection features to ensure safe and reliable system operation, including: VDD undervoltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), and LED open-circuit and short-circuit protection.
