Overview

The LGS6303X is a boost DC-DC LED driver IC with an integrated power switch, featuring a wide input voltage range of 3V to 60V. Its integrated soft-start function minimizes the need for additional inrush suppression components, making it ideal for LED driving across a wide input supply range. Output current is adjustable via an external resistor. The IC integrates a 350mΩ power switch capable of 2A peak input current, with excellent load and line transient response. The SKIP control mode combines low quiescent current with high switching frequency to achieve high efficiency across a wide load current range. Additional features include soft-start, adjustable output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, UVLO, and cycle-by-cycle peak current limiting protection. The LGS6303X supports high-accuracy digital and analog dimming by selecting different values of the sense resistor RSET. Specifically, LGS63030 supports DC dimming via analog input (0.6V~1.2V), while LGS63032 supports PWM dimming via digital input (100Hz~100kHz), with no flicker at high-frequency PWM input, a dimming ratio of up to 25000:1 at 100Hz PWM frequency, and dimming depth down to 0.1%. The IC is available in a compact 6-pin SOT23-6 package and an 8-pin ESOP8 package with enhanced thermal dissipation.
