Overview

The LM2594/LM2594HV is a 150KHz fixed-frequency PWM DC-DC regulated power converter. It features 1A output current drive capability, with high efficiency, low ripple, high line regulation, and load regulation. The device operates in PWM modulation mode, capable of linearly adjusting the duty cycle over a 0 ~ 100% range. The LM2594/LM2594HV integrates a fixed-frequency oscillator and frequency compensation module, making it extremely easy to use with minimal external components. In addition, the device incorporates an enable input with hysteresis, over-temperature protection, over-current protection, and secondary over-current protection. When secondary over-current protection is triggered, the built-in frequency reduction function lowers the operating frequency from 150KHz to 50KHz. The LM2594/LM2594HV is a step-down regulated DC power converter, whose primary function is to convert high-voltage DC with significant noise and ripple into a low-voltage, regulated DC output with low ripple and low noise. The LM2594/LM2594HV is available in four versions, differentiated by output regulated voltage: 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and an adjustable output voltage version. On-chip protection features include over-temperature protection and current limiting protection.
