Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between Vref (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. The device features an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). Its active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
