Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between Vref (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature a low output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off control.
