The LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 synchronous buck regulator devices are optimized for automotive applications, capable of providing 5V, 3.3V, or adjustable output voltages. The LM53600-Q1 supports load currents up to 650mA, while the LM53601-Q1 supports load currents up to 1000mA. Both devices utilize advanced high-speed circuitry to achieve regulated output from 18V input to 3.3V output at a fixed frequency of 2.1MHz. These devices feature an innovative architecture that delivers a regulated 3.3V output even at input voltages as low as 3.8V. The input voltage can reach up to 36V, with a maximum allowable transient voltage of 42V, simplifying input surge protection design. The open-drain reset output with filtering and delayed release provides accurate system status indication. This feature eliminates the need for additional monitoring components, saving cost and board space. Both devices seamlessly switch between PWM and PFM modes with a quiescent current of only 23μA, ensuring high efficiency and excellent transient response under all load conditions. Minimal external components are required, enabling a more compact PCB layout. Although the LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 devices are Q1-grade, electrical characteristics are guaranteed over a junction temperature range of –40°C to 150°C.
