The LM5575-Q1 step-down switching regulator is easy to use, enabling design engineers to design and optimize robust power supplies with a minimum number of components. The LM5575-Q1 features a 6V to 75V operating input voltage range and delivers 1.5A continuous output current through an integrated 330mΩ N-channel MOSFET. The regulator employs an emulated current mode architecture that provides inherent line regulation, excellent load transient response, and simplified loop compensation, without the low duty cycle limitations common in current mode regulators. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50kHz to 500kHz, enabling optimization of solution size and efficiency. The LM5575-Q1's cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown features ensure robust and reliable operation. The device is available in a power-enhanced 16-pin HTSSOP package with an exposed die attach pad for thermal dissipation. The LM5575-Q1 is supported by a full suite of WEBENCH online design tools.
