Overview

The LM73605-Q1/LM73606-Q1 series are easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converters operating from a 3.5V to 36V supply voltage, capable of driving load currents up to 5A (LM73605-Q1) or 6A (LM73606-Q1). The solution offers an extremely small footprint with excellent efficiency and output accuracy. Peak current mode control is employed. Additional features including adjustable switching frequency, external clock synchronization, power-good flag, precision enable, adjustable soft-start, and tracking provide a flexible and easy-to-use solution for a wide range of applications. Automatic frequency foldback at light loads and an optional external bias supply improve efficiency across the full load range. The device family requires very few external components, and the pin layout is designed to simplify PCB layout while delivering excellent EMI and thermal performance. Protection features include thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and hiccup short-circuit protection. The LM73605-Q1 and LM73606-Q1 devices are pin-to-pin compatible, enabling easy current scaling.
