LMR12007YMK

The LMR12007 regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in a 6-pin thin SOT package. It provides all active functions to deliver local DC/DC conversion with fast transient response and accurate regulation in the smallest possible PCB area. With minimal external components and an online design tool powered by WEBENCH, the LMR12007 is easy to use. An internal 350mΩ NMOS switch using industry-leading 0.5μm BiCMOS technology drives 750mA loads for optimal available power density. World-class control circuitry achieves turn-on times as low as 13ns, enabling excellent high-frequency conversion with a minimum output voltage as low as 1.25V across the entire 3V to 18V input operating range. The switching frequency is internally set to 550kHz (LMR12007Y) or 1.6MHz (LMR12007X), allowing the use of very compact surface-mount inductors and chip capacitors. Despite the high operating frequency, efficiency of up to 90% is readily achievable. External shutdown is included, featuring an ultra-low standby current of only 30nA. The LMR12007 employs current-mode control and internal compensation to deliver high-performance regulation across a wide range of operating conditions. Additional features include an internal soft-start circuit to reduce inrush current, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, and output overvoltage protection.
