The LMR33630 SIMPLE SWITCHER regulator is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter that delivers excellent efficiency for demanding industrial applications. The LMR33630 can drive up to 3A of load current from an input voltage of up to 36V, while providing excellent light-load efficiency and output accuracy in an ultra-small solution size. Features such as a power-good flag and precision enable help create flexible and easy-to-use solutions for a wide range of applications. The LMR33630 automatically reduces the switching frequency at light loads to improve efficiency. This device eliminates most external components through integration and offers a pinout specifically designed for simple PCB layout. Protection features include thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and hiccup short-circuit protection. The LMR33630 is available in an 8-pin HSOIC package and a 12-pin 3mm × 2mm next-generation VQFN package with wettable flanks. An AEC-Q100 qualified version is also available.
