Overview

LMR36503-Q1 is an ultra-compact 65V, 0.3A synchronous step-down DC/DC converter in a 2mm x 2mm HotRod package. This easy-to-use converter handles input voltage transients up to 70V, delivers excellent EMI performance, and supports fixed 3.3V, 5V, and other adjustable output voltages. LMR36503-Q1 employs a peak current mode control architecture with internal compensation to maintain stable operation and minimize output capacitance. The wide input operating voltage range enables normal operation under deep input voltage dropout conditions, making it an ideal choice for automotive applications subject to severe cold-crank pulses. The PGOOD flag in LMR36503-Q1 provides accurate output voltage status indication, eliminating the need for external monitors. Seamless transition from FPWM to PFM and ultra-low standby quiescent current allow LMR36503-Q1 to support higher system efficiency at light output loads. The MODE/SYNC pin variant facilitates synchronization of LMR36503-Q1 to an external clock. The LMR36503-Q1 RT pin variant offers a selection of appropriate resistors and supports external programming of the desired switching frequency. The comprehensive feature set of LMR36503-Q1 is designed to simplify implementation across a wide range of automotive end equipment.
