The LMR436x0 is an ultra-small 36V, 2A and 1A synchronous DC/DC buck converter in a 2mm x 2mm HotRod package. This easy-to-use converter supports a wide input voltage range from 3.0V to 36V, as well as transient voltages up to 42V. The control architecture and feature set are optimized for ultra-small solution size. The device uses peak current mode control to minimize output capacitance. The LMR436x0 further reduces input filter size through dual random spread spectrum, a low EMI HotRod package, and optimized pin layout. The MODE/SYNC and RT pin variants allow the frequency to be set or synchronized in the range of 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz to avoid noise-sensitive frequency bands. The LMR436x0's compact solution size and rich feature set simplify implementation across a wide range of industrial applications.
