Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between V_ref (approximately 1.24V) and 18V using two external resistors. The typical output impedance is 0.05Ω. The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. These applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power switching.
