Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator whose output voltage can be set to any value between Vref (approximately 1.24V) and 18V using two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.05 Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off control.
