Overview

The LN2120 series is a fixed-frequency, constant-current boost DC/DC controller designed primarily for backlight LED driving in HD displays and similar devices. The output voltage can reach up to 24V; at an input voltage of 3.6V, it can drive a total of 51 LEDs configured in 17 parallel strings of 3 series. The IC integrates overvoltage and thermal protection, and LED brightness can be controlled via an external PWM signal. A built-in power switch with an on-resistance of 0.2Ω is integrated within the IC.
