Overview
The LV2842XLVDDCR is a 40V, 1A step-down converter integrating a 400 mΩ high-side MOSFET and a 200 mΩ low-side MOSFET. Its input voltage range spans 4.6V to 40V, making it suitable for applications powered by unregulated sources such as industrial or automotive systems. The device employs peak current mode control with a fixed switching frequency. In sleep mode, quiescent current is 80uA and shutdown current is 1uA, making it well-suited for battery-powered systems. Integrated protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and overvoltage protection. It is housed in a cost-effective TSOT23-6L package. The device supports a fixed 1MHz switching frequency to minimize external component count, with an internal 1ms soft-start time.
