Overview
This device is a monolithic switching regulator control circuit integrating the primary functions required for DC-DC converters. It incorporates an internal temperature-compensated reference, a voltage comparator, a controlled duty cycle oscillator with an active current limiting circuit, a driver, and a high-current output switch. Designed for step-down, step-up, and voltage-inverting applications, it requires minimal external components. This model is an enhanced version of the MC34063A, capable of operating at higher frequencies. The device is available in SOP-8 and DIP-8 packages.
