MC7660

The MC7660 is a monolithic DC/DC voltage converter IC fabricated using CMOS technology. It performs voltage inversion, voltage doubling, voltage splitting, and voltage multiplication. The device operates from an input voltage range of 1.5V to 5V without requiring any external diodes over the entire operating temperature range. It delivers 10mA of output current at a voltage drop of 0.5V per stage. By utilizing the BOOST input, the internal oscillator frequency can be pushed above the audio band, effectively reducing output ripple and relaxing the requirements for external capacitance values. The MC7660 integrates low quiescent current and high conversion efficiency, with an on-chip oscillator control circuit and four power MOSFET switching transistors. Typical applications include: negative voltage generators, voltage doublers, and voltage dividers producing 1/2 of the input voltage.
