MD88R36

The MD88XX series is a high-efficiency, low-ripple PFM-controlled DC-DC boost regulator IC. This series features an ultra-low startup voltage and high output voltage accuracy. In application, only three external components — an inductor, a capacitor, and a Schottky diode — are required to boost a low battery input voltage to the desired operating voltage. The MD88XX integrates an output voltage feedback and compensation network, startup circuit, oscillator circuit, PFM control circuit, reference voltage circuit, overcurrent protection circuit, and output power transistor. Using PFM control, it achieves low output ripple and high efficiency over a wide operating range. The MD88XX is available in SOT-89-3, SOT-23-3, SOT-89-5, and SOT-23-5 packages. In the SOT-89-5 and SOT-23-5 packages, a CE enable pin allows convenient on/off control of the IC, minimizing power consumption.
